For the first time since 1976, no Mississippi State players were selected in the MLB Draft.
The Bulldogs did however have six of its signees (Austin Riley, Gray Fenter, Greg Pickett, Jared Padgett, Delvin Zinn and Elih Marrero) picked during the three day event.
Two former MSU players and one former commitment also heard their names called.
Right-handed pitcher Bret Marks, who was with the Diamond Dogs in the fall of 2011, was drafted in the 15th round (453rd overall) by the New York Yankees.
