STARKVILLE, Miss. — Senior Quinndary Weatherspoon scored 20 points and Lamar Peters had 21 points, eight assists, six rebounds and two steals, as Mississippi State men’s basketball beat Texas A&M 92-81 on Senior Day at Humphrey Coliseum to end the 2018-2019 regular season.
MSU finishes the regular season with a 22-9 (10-8 SEC) record, while the Aggies finish the season with a 13-17 (6-12 SEC) record.
The squads traded baskets early on with the Bulldogs holding an early 10-6 lead with 15:58 to go after Peters knocked down a 3-pointer. Tyson Carter followed that up with another Bulldog 3-pointer to make it 13-6.
