As hoped, Mississippi State might indeed be about to get back one of its biggest pieces with the Starkville Regional set to begin Friday.
MSU will open up its NCAA Baseball Tournament run Friday at noon against Southern and there’s a solid chance the Bulldogs will have Elijah MacNamee’s big bat back in some capacity after MacNamee has missed the last couple of weeks of action recovering from a cracked bone in his left foot.
“He’s had a really good week,” Lemonis said of MacNamee after MSU’s practice on Thursday. “He’s been swinging since Sunday and running around.
