Mississippi State has accomplished a lot in its storied baseball program.
But the Bulldogs have never been a national seed – at least until now.
MSU was selected as the No. 6 national seed when the NCAA Tournament bracket was announced on Memorial Day and will host both a regional and a super regional provided the Diamond Dogs do their part.
Joining State at Dudy Noble Field will be No. 2 seed Cal State Fullerton, No. 3 seed Louisiana Tech and No. 4 seed Southeast Missouri State. The Starkville Regional will be paired with the Lafayette Regional.
