BATON ROUGE, La. — While looking for another quality road win in the Southeastern Conference, the No. 11 Mississippi State women’s basketball team turned to its defense in a time of need.
After a sluggish first quarter, the Bulldogs heated up on both ends of the court to post a 71-52 win over LSU Thursday night at the Maravich Assembly Center.
MSU won its third straight to improve to 20-4 overall and 7-3 in league play. The Bulldogs have won 20 or more games seven times in program history, including three straight times under fourth-year coach Vic Schaefer.
