It appears Mississippi State will now have two Super Bowl-winning defensive backs on the football coaching staff.
Sources confirmed on Thursday that Terrell Buckley, a 14-year NFL veteran who has college coaching experience at Florida State, Akron and most recently, Louisville, has accepted a position on MSU head coach Dan Mullen’s staff as safeties coach.
Buckley replaces Tony Hughes, who left Mississippi State last month to become the head coach at Jackson State.
Buckley is familiar with the Magnolia State having grown up and played high school football at Pascagoula.
