Brown, Calhoun to play in Shrine Game

Two Mississippi State seniors have accepted invitations to play in the 91st East-West Shine Game after the season.

Defensive end Ryan Brown and cornerback Taveze Calhoun were announced as participants in the game by the Shine Game this week. The game will take place in St. Petersburg, Fla., on Jan. 23 at 4 p.m. on the NFL Network.

Brown, a 6-foot-6, 266-pounder from New Orleans, La., has made 35 tackles this season including 7.5 for loss, 2.5 sacks and broke up three passes. He has started 23 of 43 career games with 102 stops, 18 tackles for loss and 7.
