Mississippi State’s dreadful 2015 season finally ended on Saturday against Tennessee. In a weekend where they were supposed to be fighting for a spot in the SEC Tournament, it turned out that the Vols were the ones ready to take that challenge.
MSU came into the series knowing that if Georgia were to lose two of three to Arkansas, they could make it to Hoover by sweeping Tennessee, who was just 8-18 on the year. Well, UGA did lose two of three to UPig, but it was Tennessee doing the sweeping, and they will be playing baseball this week as the 12 seed.
