They’re the cowbells of Mississippi State, and they’re on the minds of Auburn’s players and coaches ahead of Saturday’s visit to Davis Wade Stadium.
Auburn linebacker Davis said he’s never been a fan of the clanging. In fact, the noise was one of the factors that steered him away from Mississippi State.
“I always hated those cowbells, even when I was getting recruited,” Davis told reporters this week. “I went there and I was like, ‘There’s no way I could play at a school like this with the cowbells.
