Arizona is headed to the College World Series after sweeping its super regional at No. 6 Mississippi State on Saturday night, and five other national seeds were on the brink of elimination.
Cesar Salazar's bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 11th inning gave the Wildcats a 6-5 win that sends them to the CWS in Omaha, Nebraska, where they won the national title in their last appearance in 2012.
The rest of the eight-team CWS field will be determined Sunday or Monday at the completion of the other best-of-three super regionals.
The top three seeds were upset Saturday.
