As disappointing as it was for MSU to bow out earlier than we had all hoped in the NCAA Tournament, we can at least take a measure of solace in the fact that the team we lost to will at the very least play for the national title.
Arizona has done well in Omaha (as they usually do when they get there). They defeated Miami in their first game, then lost to Oklahoma State before eliminating UC Santa Barbara and then beating Okie State on Friday and Saturday to advance to the finals.
This will be their eighth time to play for a national championship in baseball.
