If you ask the voters in the Associated Press’s Top 25 college football poll, reports of the SEC’s demise have been greatly exaggerated. After the first week of the college football season, the league has ten teams, including all seven members of the West Division, placed in the poll.
As with the coaches poll released earlier in the day, Alabama was in the #2 spot, while Florida State dropped in the polls to #11 despite a 59-16 win in their opener:

The second half of the poll is where the SEC saw two of their teams, Texas A&M and Mississippi State, crack into the Top 25 following wins this weekend.
