Jack Kruger became the 10th Mississippi State junior to be selected in the 2016 MLB Draft.
Kruger was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim in the 20th round (606th overall).
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound catcher from Calabasas, California is concluding his first season with the Bulldogs after also playing at Oregon and Orange Coast College.
Kruger has started 53 of the 55 games he has played this season including 19 behind the plate. He is batting .350 with 72 hits, 19 doubles, eight home runs, 40 RBIs and six stolen bases.
