Mississippi State must wait until Saturday to learn what time its home game against Alabama on Nov. 14 will kick off.
CBS exercised its option to choose between the MSU-Alabama game and the Arkansas-LSU contest for its 2:30 p.m. broadcast. If the MSU-Alabama game is not picked by CBS, it will start at 6:15 p.m. on either ESPN or ESPN2.
The Crimson Tide have won the last seven meetings and lead the series 17-4 in Starkville and 78-18-3 overall. Alabama handed MSU its first loss last season, 25-20 in Tuscaloosa.
