STARKVILLE, Miss. — Eight Mississippi State baseball players were drafted on the final day of the 2019 Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft Wednesday, which totals a program-record-tying 11 over the three days.
The eight players drafted on Wednesday include:
Redshirt-junior pitcher Ethan Small was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the first round on Monday (28th overall). A pair of Diamond Dawgs were then selected on Tuesday. Senior outfielder Jake Mangum was selected by the New York Mets in the fourth round (118th overall) with junior Colby White being selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the sixth round (188th overall).
