The 2019 Mississippi State football seasons begins on Saturday against Louisiana! Today’s spotlighted player is #5 Chauncey Rivers.
Rivers was a four-star defensive end prospect coming out of Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He was rated as a four-star prospect by 247Sports, Scout.com and ESPN. He also rated as the No. 10 weakside defensive end prospect in the country by 247Sports Composite.
Going into his senior season, Rivers was a member of Atlanta Journal-Constitution 2014 Super 11. He totaled 99 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 10 sacks, five forced fumbles and an interception on the year.
