Mississippi State picked up its 26th commitment for the 2018 signing class when three-star tight end Geor’quarius Spivey pledged to the Bulldogs on Friday.
Spivey (6 feet 6, 220 pounds), from Monroe (La.) Richwood, also had offers from, among others, LSU and TCU. He had taken an unofficial visit to Mississippi State on September 16, when the Bulldogs routed LSU.
He is one of the top 40 tight ends nationally and also one of the top 40 prospects overall in Louisiana.
Spivey is the second tight end to pledge to the Bulldogs; the other is three-star prospect Brad Cumbest of Moss Point, Miss.
