Three-star defensive end Fabien Lovett thought long and hard about the decision before he made it.
Ultimately, it was something different – albeit related – that led him to commit to Mississippi State this past weekend.
“I just went to where my heart took me to,” Lovett told GN.
Lovett (6 feet 3, 302 pounds), from Olive Branch (Miss.) High, is among the top 20 prospects in Mississippi in the 2018 recruiting class. He chose the Bulldogs over offers from Alabama, Memphis, Ole Miss, Purdue and others.
Lovett cited the Mississippi State coaching staff, specifically with the one who could be his future position coach.
