It’s yet another Mississippi State-Ole Miss recruiting duel, and this one is going in favor of the Bulldogs.
Three-star cornerback D.J. James committed to Mississippi State on Saturday night, the latest addition for new coach Joe Moorhead in the 2019 recruiting class.
James (6 feet 0, 175 pounds) plays for Spanish Fort (Ala.) High and picked the Bulldogs over archrival Ole Miss. He also had Power Five offers from Florida and Kansas.
He’s the fourth player to commit to Mississippi State for the 2019 class and the second in the past week, joining offensive tackle Montravious Richardson of Georgia Military College.
