Coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin and the Ole Miss Rebels came into Wednesday night’s matchup with the Temple Owls seeking redemption after suffering their first loss of the young season versus IUPUI. Ole Miss did just that, coming away with a 62-55 home victory on Wednesday night.
The Rebels hit the ground running as they sprinted out to a 12-2 lead early while forcing Temple into a timeout to stop the bleeding. The Rebels would go on to close out the first quarter with a 21-8 advantage while forcing Temple into seven turnovers. Temple would climb back into the game in the second quarter outscoring Ole Miss 14-10 as the two teams headed into halftime with Ole Miss leading 31-22.
