Wofford has no shortage of challenges in its Saturday trip to Ole Miss. The Rebels’ receiving game stands at the top of coach Mike Ayers’ list.
Ayers is already is looking for ways to cut the Mississippi air game down to size, as reported by the Jackson (Miss.) Clarion-Ledger.
Five Rebels wide receivers caught passes against Florida State on Monday night. And all five – Quincy Adeboyejo (6 feet 3), Damore’ea Stringfellow (6-2), D.K. Metcalf (6-4), Van Jefferson (6-2) and A.J. Brown (6-1) – tower over the Terriers’ cornerbacks.
In particular, starting Wofford cornerback George Gbesee (5-8) faces a daunting matchup against the Ole Miss receivers, with a height disadvantage of as many as eight inches.
