Weight loss along the OL helps tempo offense become more efficient

The “sweet spot” for the no-huddle offense is 10 seconds, offensive tackle Fahn Cooper says.

A senior in his second year as the starting right tackle after transferring from Bowling Green and a junior college, Cooper estimates that the Rebels’ offensive line has lost more than 200 collective pounds.

Redshirt freshman Jordan Sims is the poster child for Ole Miss weight loss, having trimmed down by almost 60 pounds since arriving on campus.

In addition to carrying extra weight Cooper was learning a new scheme and new surroundings last year. And he didn’t have the benefit of signing in December and going through spring drills.
