Our oversized, hirsute son, Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals baseball club, recently sported an Ole Miss football helmet out of solidarity with his good pal and Ole Miss baseball alum Aaron Barnett. We had some good laughs and chuckles of admiration for our brawny, ripped boy, who’s our son.
But that hilarity has since been tempered by a sobering realization. We now need Red Cup Rebellion’s large, adult son to lead off the Hotty Toddy cheer before an Ole Miss football game. A baseball game would cause right field at Swayze to crumble into the earth, and that would really be ideal.
