GAINESVILLE, Fla. — A subpar performance on offense against Vanderbilt put a scare into the No. 3 Ole Miss Rebels. A second straight slow start, coupled with a myriad mistakes, ended up spelling their doom Saturday night against No. 25 Florida.
Quarterback Chad Kelly felt like the team prepared better leading up the matchup with the Gators compared to the game with Vanderbilt, but the execution was worse. Much worse in some cases. Ole Miss finished with three fumbles and four overall turnovers in the loss. Kelly was sacked four times, and the Rebels couldn’t get anything going in the run game.
