When Mississippi announced Matt Luke would be the man to lead the football program forward, it appears recruits in the Magnolia State heard the news loud and clear. For Tupelo, MS wide receiver Jordan Jernigan, the decision was simple.
The Class of 2019 prospect is excited about playing for Luke after officially committing this week.
“He played there and wants to see Mississippi athletes succeed,” Jernigan said. “I am looking forward to playing for him and the coaching staff.”
That coaching staff, specifically wide receivers coach Jacob Peeler, is not completely solidified, according to Luke. I do expect the one position that won’t change is Peeler’s.
