Ole Miss’ dominant Sugar Bowl win over Oklahoma State earned the Rebels a top 10 finish in The Associated Press Top 25.
Ole Miss took a huge leap forward in the final rankings moving from No. 16 to No. 10. It’s the Rebels’ highest AP finish since finishing No. 8 in 1969.
Oklahoma State was ranked No. 13 when the Rebels won 48-20 on New Year’s Night in New Orleans.
Ole Miss earned the Sugar Bowl bid by being the highest-ranked non-playoff SEC team according to the College Football Playoff committee which sets the New Year’s Six bowl games.
