As first reported by Chuck Rounsaville of OMSpirit.com and later verified with a source, redshirt freshman tight end has been dismissed from the Ole Miss football team for a "violation of team rules." And from what I've heard it was many violations of the same team rule.
So what does this mean for the Rebels? Not much. Epps wasn't expected to contribute at any meaningful level this season, assuming Evan Engram stays healthy. He doesn't offer a better level of blocking than Engram and hasn't proven anything on the college level. It would have been nice for Ole Miss to have Epps when Engram leaves (be it this season or next), but it's not a huge loss in that respect.
