Senquez Golson's rookie season in the League may be over before it even begins. The shoulder injury the former Ole Miss cornerback has been nursing for the past week-plus is severe enough that the Steelers are considering putting him under the knife for season-ending surgery, according to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
There's been no decision made at this point. The season-ending procedure is one of multiple unnamed treatment options being considered and Bouchette didn't say which way the team is leaning -- just that surgery is one option.
But if you're reading context clues, the fact that Pittsburgh went out and traded the Eagles for cornerback Brandon Boykin over the weekend suggests that they're pretty damn concerned with Golson's availability.
