The Southeastern Conference set a new NCAA record for bowl wins in a single season earlier today, with the Arkansas Razorbacks claiming a 45-23 victory over Kansas State in the Autozone Liberty Bowl. With the win, the SEC captured its eighth victory of the football postseason. The SEC leads the nation once again in bowl victories, while boasting an equally impressive 80 percent winning percentage in its 10 bowl games.
Earlier in the day, Georgia defeated Penn State of the Big Ten Conference 24-17 in the TaxSlayer Bowl.
"There is great satisfaction in hearing 'S-E-C' chanted at stadiums across the south during the last week," said SEC commissioner Greg Sankey.
