Saiz surgery goes well

Related Topics: Retinal detachment, Surgery

Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy says this morning’s surgery to repair a detached retina for junior forward Sebastian Saiz “went well.” There will be follow-up conversations with the doctor tomorrow that will shed some light on how long Saiz might be out. The original thought was that Saiz would be out for a couple of weeks, but there will also be a pain tolerance factor in there.

Saiz is the Rebels’ second-leading scorer and is the second-leading rebounder in the SEC. He will not play tonight against South Carolina and is not expected to play Saturday at Mississippi State.
