From the Mother Ship, a year in the system seems to have made a big difference for Ole Miss middle linebacker Christian Russell. Coaches had hoped Russell would adapt quickly last year, his first after transferring from East Mississippi Community College. It didn’t work out that way, but now Russell says he’s playing faster and more aggressive as he competes for the MLB job with senior C.J. Johnson who was moved over from end in the spring.
