After losing Gunnar Hoglund and Doug Nikhazy to the 2021 MLB Draft, Mike Bianco had to turn his attention to the NCAA Transfer Portal. Well, on Friday the portal delivered as Oregon State right-handed pitcher Jack Washburn announced that he would be transferring to Ole Miss.
The freshman from Webster, Wis. appeared in 21 games last season for the Beavers, starting five games and posting a 4-2 record and 3.12 earned run average in 34.2 innings. Washburn also struck out 43 and held hitters to a .186 batting average.
