It’s opening night for the Pavilion at Ole Miss. I’m like Andy Kennedy in the sense that it’s taken a long time for this to register, even since the ground-breaking that seems like years ago.
I haven’t really been bothered a lot by the eccentricity of Tad Smith all these years, mainly because for so many years a new arena was not in the plans. When this basketball season started, however, I could see the Pavilion across the street and began to have less patience for Tad Smith’s charm.
No place is perfect, and the Pavilion won’t be, but it will be a fantastic state-of-the-art experience.
