The Ole Miss Women’s Track and Field team finished in fifth place in the NCAA DI Championships, the highest in their history. They obtained 38 total points, while the winner, Arkansas, obtained 63.

The Men’s team tied with Kentucky and Wisconsin for 20th with 14 points.

The highlight of the events for the Rebels was Saturday. Akilah Lewis, McKenzie Long, Gabrielle Matthews and Jahniya Bowers won the first NCAA Outdoor relay(4×100) title in Ole Miss history.

Not too long after that historic race, Long won the 100 meter and 200 meter races. Not only did Long win both races, she won both preliminaries.
