For a second straight season the Ole Miss baseball team finds themselves two wins away from Omaha and the College World Series.
In a marathon game that included a two and a half hour rain delay, with a 30-minute lightning during it, the Rebels defeated Southern Mississippi 12-9 in the do-or-die Game 7 to win the Oxford Regional championship on Monday. It is the second straight Regional championship and Super Regional berth for the Rebels.
Tim Elko continued to cement his legacy at Ole Miss on Sunday. The designated hitter doubled his grand slam total with one in the second inning.
