The refs blew the call, and Ole Miss lost to Vandervilt, 36-29, in overtime.
The Rebs’ opening drive stalled after a lone first down, and the Landshark defense held Vandy to a three-and-out on the Dores’ ensuing drive. Ole Miss’ answered with a field goal on a stalled red zone drive (sigh), then again forced a Vanderbilt punt that forced the Rebel offense to begin again but from inside their own five yard line.
Ole Miss appeared to score touchdowns on consecutive plays, but both outcomes were overturned after review and the Rebs had to settle for another field goal (another sigh).
