Ole Miss will open its 2018 season against Texas Tech at NRG Stadium in Houston in the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff at the home stadium of the Houston Texans.
This will be the sixth Texas Kickoff game, and an SEC school has taken part in all but one. The first matchup was in 2013, when Mississippi State played Oklahoma State, followed by LSU-Wisconsin in ’14, Arizona State-Texas A&M in ’15, Houston-Oklahoma last season and BYU-LSU this season.
The Rebels and Red Raiders have played five times. Ole Miss leads 3-2, with the most recent meeting a 47-34 Ole Miss victory in the 2009 Cotton Bowl.
