Back on Sept. 12, a little more than a month ago now, Ole Miss media relations distributed a statement just prior to kickoff of the Rebels’ game against Fresno State in which it addressed the Laremy Tunsil situation.
Within the statement the school said, “Although the process is ongoing the decision to withhold Laremy is not related to any current items involving our football staff.”
There has been no further comment regarding staff in the Tunsil matter.
Tunsil’s conditions for reinstatement were plainly stated in the news release Monday night.
I asked Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze Tuesday night if the Tunsil matter was closed regarding the entire program or if penalties could be incurred.
