Ole Miss softball was looking forward to defending their 2017 SEC Tourney Championship with a strong run in this years tourney. However, they had a tough draw for their first game and the LSU Tigers sent the Rebels back to Oxford after their opening game.
After one and a half scoreless innings and with the bases loaded LSU went yard to make the score 4-0 after 2 innings. With the Tigers leading 4-0 in the top of the 4th the Rebels scored 1 run to cut the lead to 4-1. The Rebels couldn’t rally any further in the game and took the 4-1 loss to the LSU Tigers.
