What if Ole Miss hadn’t lost to Arkansas in overtime? Would the Rebels still have beaten Mississippi State and headed to Atlanta for their first appearance in a SEC championship game?
Alas, you can’t dwell on the past, and overall Ole Miss had a good season. The Rebels finished with 10 wins for the first time since 2003 and for just the second time since 1971. They hammered Oklahoma State in the Sugar Bowl, winning a major bowl for the first time since the 1969 season. And the good vibes are going to continue in late April, when three Rebels (Robert Nkemdiche, Laquon Treadwell and Laremy Tunsil) seem all but certain to go in the first round of the NFL draft.
