Ole Miss’ practice fields, adjacent to the Manning Center, are being lengthened because of the construction of a parking garage. What appears to be an additional 40 yards is scheduled to be added to the west end of the north field and will give the Rebels two full-length practice fields, the school announced.
One field will be changed to Field Turf from grass. Included in the project are irrigation systems and observation towers; the fields will be equipped with a state-of-the-art audio system as well. The project is set for a July completion.
This is one of the many projects of the Forward Together campaign orchestrated by the Ole Miss Athletic Foundation, which has raised $165 million of its $200 million goal.
