How does running back D’Vaughn Pennamon spend a day away from the Ole Miss practice field? Reading about a caterpillar — a hungry one — to a young audience.
Pennamon took some time Thursday morning to read to elementary school students in Oxford, as he posted on Twitter.
The reading material? The Very Hungry Caterpillar, written in 1969 by Eric Carle. The freshman from Houston described it as his “fav childhood book.”
The story is about a caterpillar who is indeed very hungry.
Other SEC players have also had encounters with the classroom this season.
