The Southeastern Conference provided a much-needed vote last week in terms of keeping hope alive for college football to be played this fall.
The conference’s presidents and chancellors voted to reopen all athletic facilities across their 14 campuses, effective June 8. This will be the first time any facility has been open to student-athletes since the SEC suspended all competitions and activities on March 13 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Having a tangible date of when student-athletes can now return to campus, for voluntary workouts only, Ole Miss announced its plans to slowly resume a form of normalcy.
