After a dominating 31-17 victory, the Sunday shine of the first victory of the 2019 season is dimmed just a little with the unfortunate news of junior linebacker MoMo Sanogo’s injury. The Rebel Walk is reporting that the Rebels’ starting middle linebacker has suffered a broken right fibula and torn ligament.
The junior from Plano, Tex. was rolled up in punt coverage and went down, reaching for his ankle and was eventually carted off. To make the news even worse and to really hit you in the feels, it is almost identical to the injury that former Rebel Laquon Treadwell suffered in the 2014 Auburn game while trying to get into the end zone.
