Ole Miss has accepted the majority of the 21 NCAA violations against its football program, but that also may prove to be beneficial to its cause down the road.
When Ole Miss released its initial response to the NCAA’s amended Notice of Allegations in February, it maintained that it would continue to exhibit “exemplary cooperation” into the matter, which paid off well for another Division I program under investigation in recent years.
Following the conclusion of its investigation in April 2015, Oklahoma State president Burns Hargis said the Committee on Infractions noted its “exemplary cooperation” in a ruling that resulted in little punishment for the program.
