Keith Carter’s hot start in his new role at Ole Miss continues with a major hire for the vacant head football coaching job.
After a five-day coaching search, Carter went down to Boca Raton to find Ole Miss’ new head coach, Lane Kiffin, to replace Matt Luke. While contract details have not been confirmed, Ole Miss is expected to make an official announcement after the Conference USA championship game on Saturday, where a Kiffin-led FAU team will face UAB looking for a 10th win.
Carter elected to fire head football coach Matt Luke after an embarrassing 21-20 loss in the Egg Bowl on Thanksgiving.
