OXFORD – Ole Miss and Baylor have reached a verbal agreement to play at Houston’s NRG Stadium to open the 2020 season the school has confirmed.
Ole Miss athletics director Ross Bjork told the Daily Journal in January that he was in talks with Baylor and that he hoped to be able to finalize the deal and make an announcement soon.
Neutral-site games are one avenue Power Five conference AD’s are taking to comply with scheduling mandates handed down by many leagues including the SEC and Big 12.
Ole Miss will open the 2016 season against Florida State in Orlando on Sept.
