Michael Oher turns himself in to Nashville police after Uber incident

Former Ole Miss and current Carolina Panthers offensive lineman Michael Oher turned himself in to Nashville Police Tuesday after being accused of assaulting an Uber driver on April 14.

Oher faces a charge of assault causing bodily injury. The 30-year-old lineman is suspected to have been under the influence of alcohol during the incident.

According to Nashville police, Oher and four other passengers asked the driver to go to The Southern Restaurant, which is located in downtown Nashville. They told the driver to follow another vehicle to the restaurant, but the Uber driver noted that the lead car seemed to be lost.
