Ole Miss went heavy on defense in the early signing period, not surprising when you consider the Rebels finished last in total defense in the SEC, but the class was highlighted by four-star quarterback Matt Corral.
Whomever the Rebels add in the February signing period, the 2018 class still likely will be defined by Corral, a longtime Florida commitment who switched to Ole Miss right before the early signing period. He threw for 10,178 yards and 123 TDs in his four-year high school career.
A perfect scenario for Ole Miss would be a redshirt season for Corral this fall while current Ole Miss quarterback Jordan Ta’amu finishes his eligibility, then a starting job for Corral in 2019.
