Football shoulder pads. They’re big.
Now, thanks to a couple of Ole Miss players and the Rebels’ equipment staff, several dozen elementary school kids got an up-close chance to see just how big those pads — plus shoes, helmets and more — really are.
Rebels equipment manager Ken Crain posted photos of tight end Evan Engram and guard Javon Patterson with local elementary students, showing off Rebels gear as part of the college’s Spirit Week.
Possibly the funniest picture comes when Patterson, a sophomore listed at 6 feet 3 and 307 pounds, tries to help the kids try on the full-size Ole Miss shoulder pads.
